By David Greenspan _________________________________________________________ No flick race today. The weather was really sour and few would have had any fun. We had some 6 inches of snow/sleet/ice on Friday into Saturday. Travel was hazardous. Winds were 15-20 for the weekend with temperatures struggling to get past 32. I think we all benefitted from this break and should thank the PSRA for the common sense. Parking, Tents, Line ups and the starting line, would have all been a mess, and with delays on the water, the athletes would have been at risk. Compared to this weekend, the previous weekend was just lovely, the first break into spring since the end of January. (Don't you all remember that lovely warm January that seems soooo long ago?) I was able to get out to the Upper Merion 'scrimmage' that was mostly just a practice with the JV and V squads. Nice rowing conditions, lots of pairs rowing as neither crew had had any but a smattering of water time. I know the teams had donuts (thanks to Lisa Greenspan who ran off to Am-E-Lynn donuts that has some of the best in Norristown) couldn't tell you much more. But I did get a few pictures of the men before heading back home...
