In the fall of 2006 J. D. moved back to Philadelphia and was an assistant coach for the Shipley School in the spring 2007 season. As the novice boys coach he led the four to an undefeated season (winning State and City Championships) and Shipley's first ever boys freshman eight into the semifinals at the Stotesbury Cup. All his novice crews reached finals in every race. In the summer of 2007 J. D. was an assistant coach for the Penn AC Junior Development Camp, the nation's premier summer junior rowing program. The team's eight placed third at the USRowing Club National Championships and helped Penn AC capture the overall men's point trophy with additional medals in the intermediate lightweight four and eight. J. D. also coached the Junior 2x, who won bronze at Nationals and placed sixth out of sixty-three boats at the Royal Canadian Henley. J. D. lives in Philadelphia and will receive his masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Temple University this spring. He is a Level III certified USRowing coach.

Kate continued her rowing during the Spring as a member of LMHS's crew team where she was a member of the women's Freshman Eight, the JV 4x, and the V 4x. This is Regan's third year on the LM coaching staff, but her ties to Lower Merion Crew go back to her high school days. Regan stroked LM's Varsity Quad her senior year leading to an undefeated season through Stotesbury Regatta. She was also lucky to be a part of the Bachelors Barge Club crew that competed at the Women's Henley Regatta in England and Junior World Championships in Bulgaria in 1999. Regan rowed for a year at UMass in the Varsity Lightweight 8+. She has since graduated from Saint Joseph's University with her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and she currently works as a high school math teacher. Regan coaches the Freshmen/Novice Women, arguably the coolest squad on the whole team. ROCK ON!
